I am pleased to announce the release of my new bedtime stories boxed set – Tessa’s Bedtime Box.
Boxed set of the popular ‘Dog’s Walk’ series plus a free copy of ‘Daisy Sunshine and the Murkins’.
Dogs Walk series:
Dog has no one to take him for a walk. So he takes himself! Each day Dog explores a different place. Dog discovers a Roman Fort, soldiers with chariots, horses, armour and spears and even takes a dip in the Roman Baths. In the other two books, Dog visits the beach and the woods. Each time he has another exciting adventure. Where will he go next?
Daisy Sunshine and the Murkins:
Terrified of the bears that live under her bed, Daisy hates bedtime. Her mother spends hours trying to get Daisy to go to sleep. Then, Gwen, the new babysitter, shows her that far from being scary, Murkins are really quite fun!
A set of rhyming stories to entertain adults and children alike, and to read together on cold winters nights…
What readers are saying:
“Tessa Thompson’s rhyming picture books are beautifully illustrated and delightfully addictive.”
Just a quick note to let you know that there are now new paperback editions of all of my books!
Happy bedtime story time!
Just thought that I would update you on my current state of production. At the moment I am working on two books, the picture book Go Away Dog, which is coming along – but slowly, and a chapter book for 7 – 9-year-olds called ‘Molly Midnight and the Little People,’ which I am quite excited about because it is the first chapter book I have written and I am really enjoying writing the story.
Molly Midnight is a little girl who is descended from a long line of witches and although she is not a witch (because there are no witches left anymore), she has a magical secret. Molly has a magic dolls house.
I am looking forward to developing the story and to completing the first of the black and white illustrations for the book, which I am hoping will be published by the end of the summer.
Keep checking back here for publication updates and cover reveals.
I am pleased to announce the publication of books 2 & 3 of the Dog’s Walk Series, my new early reader books.
Available to buy on Amazon.
Dog has no one to take him for a walk. So he takes himself! Today Dog explores the Beach and goes on a hunt for Pirate’s treasure! Dog discovers all sorts of creatures on the beach – an angry crab, a smelly starfish, and a noisy seagull. Finally, he finds the very best kind of treasure for a dog.
Dog has no one to take him for a walk. So he takes himself! Today Dog explores the Woods and goes on a hunt for Robin Hood! Dog discovers all sorts of creatures in the woods – a squirrel, a woodpecker and a huge scary deer. Dog’s imagination runs riot – does he see Robin Hood? Friar Tuck? Bows and Arrows or the Merry Men?
Dog’s walk to the Woods is the third book of the Dog’s Walks Series. Book one, Dog’s Walk to the Roman Fort and book two, Dog’s Walk to the Beach are also available to buy on Amazon.

This week has been really busy for me as I am madly attempting to complete my first picture book Daisy Sunshine and the Murkins, before the end of the month. I intend to post a weekly summary of the work that I have completed culminating in the release details of the finished book. I hope that you enjoy this little insight into my work as I venture tentatively into the world of children’s picture book author.
